Nottinghamshire will seek to secure victory over Yorkshire on the final day of their Second XI Championship clash, after a brutal innings from opener Ben Martindale placed the Green and Golds in a commanding position.

Commencing the third day unbeaten on 67, Martindale galloped to a dizzying 70-ball century at Lady Bay, lashing 25 boundaries - including two maximums - on his way to 154 from just 156 deliveries. Liam Patterson-White also starred with the bat as he added 83 to Notts' eventual second innings total of 442.

Patterson-White and Tom Loten then removed Yorkshire openers Luxton and Wharton before the visitors posted 89/2 at the end of the pentultimate day.

Notts will have three sessions to search for the eight wickets required for victory, while the visitors will need a further 486 runs to clinch the win.
