Tom Moores marked his return from a toe injury by scoring 37 from 26 balls for Nottinghamshire's Seconds, who lost both T20 North Division matches played against Lancashire at Trent College, Long Eaton yesterday (Thursday).

The wicket-keeper put on 61 with captain Greg Smith, who hit 34, as the hosts posted 143-6 in their 20 overs, batting first.

Lancashire knocked off the runs required for victory with three balls to spare, reaching 145-6, led by Calum Turner's knock of 55, despite Matt Milnes' 2-20.

Billy Root was the pick of the batsmen as Notts also batted first in the second game, scoring 65 from 49 balls in a total of 140 for 7.

The visitors replied with 143-3 in 17.5 overs as Turner again top scored with 43 and Karl Brown made 33.

Root, Jack Blatherwick and Connor Marshall took a wicket apiece.
