Nottinghamshire second XI recorded a six-wicket win over the touring Darren Lehmann Cricket Academy in a game played under Royal London One-Day regulations at the Notts Sports Ground, Lady Bay.

The visitors won the toss and chose to bat first, cruising along to 131-0 as opener Dan Stanley, who hit 61, and Patrick Page, who scored 65, batted fluently.

However, leg spinner Connor Marshall started a strong Notts flightback as he first had Page stumped by Tom Keast and then trapped Gaurav Bhatt lbw for a duck two balls later.

When Stanley was run out by Matt Milnes, it sparked a collapse from the Academy side as Finlay Richardson, who finished on 14 not out, was the only other player to reach double figures,

The visitors' cause, in being bowled out for 171, was not helped by two more run outs, while Marshall claimed 3-29 off his 10 overs and Liam Patterson-White 3-27 off his.

The hosts reply saw all batsman chip in, with openers Joey Evison, who made 48, and Matt Carter, who struck 38, putting on 70 for the opening wicket.

Jack Blatherwick scored 27 and Tom Keast contributed 33 before Jake Libby, unbeaten on 7 and Lyndon James, who hit his first two balls for four and six to finish on 10 not out, saw the home side to victory on 176-4.
